STORY OF BAND OF HONOR
Jennifer and Tom Tilmon
Jennifer and Tom Tilmon became the proud owners of Band of Honor in 2022. The Tilmon's and their family have dedicated their entire lives to the profession of Law Enforcement. Jennifer’s father was a Police Officer in Wilmington, NC. Jennifer worked in Law Enforcement as well. Tom is a career Law Enforcement Officer in Wilmington, NC . Tom also leads the local agency bagpipe band, routinely playing for officer funerals on the east coast and was even honored to play at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in New York City on 9/11. The Tilmon’s are proud to continue the tradition of honoring the fallen heroes of our military, law enforcement, emergency services and more. They reside in Wilmington with their daughter, Ella, and their rescue dog, Risky.
George and Melissa Perkins
In 2011, George and Melissa Perkins bought the company. George and Melissa both were career Law Enforcement officers in Wilmington, NC. Melissa was a member of the Department Honor Guard, and participated in numerous funerals and ceremonies. George was a ranking member of the agency, and also rode for several charity rides that benefited the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial and Officer Down Memorial Page.
Ellen Pierson
Band of Honor was founded in 2009 by Ellen Pierson. Ellen is a federal law enforcement officer, and routinely participates in charity bicycle rides that benefit LEO and the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial.
